A Austr\u00e1lia tamb\u00e9m formalizou nesta quarta-feira pedido de consultas com questionamentos semelhantes ao governo indiano. As informa\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o dos minist\u00e9rio da Agricultura, Pecu\u00e1ria e Abastecimento e de Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores que divulgou de nota conjunta detalhando o processo. O pedido de consultas \u00e9 a primeira etapa formal de um contencioso na OMC. O temor \u00e9 que as a\u00e7\u00f5es indianas causem preju\u00edzos ao mercado a\u00e7ucareiro brasileiro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cO governo brasileiro tem expectativa de que as consultas com o governo indiano contribuam para o equacionamento da quest\u00e3o\u201d, diz o comunicado. \u201c[O objetivo \u00e9] questionar aspectos do regime indiano de apoio ao setor a\u00e7ucareiro, em particular o programa de sustenta\u00e7\u00e3o do pre\u00e7o da cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar\u201d, acrescenta o texto. A consulta ocorre no momento em que a \u00cdndia registrou um salto na produ\u00e7\u00e3o a\u00e7ucareira, podendo superar o Brasil, na produ\u00e7\u00e3o global.
